Engineer I
Position Description
The Engineer I, Manufacturing Process Development position will play a significant role supporting Lindy’s technical operations efforts developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes for our novel technology
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Assist in development, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing processes, including developing batch records for these operations.

Conduct laboratory experiments and small-scale production runs to support process development efforts.

Collect and report data from experiments and production runs.

Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory documentation and experimental records.

Operate various laboratory and manufacturing equipment and instruments as needed to support development activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Formulation, R&D, and Analytical to develop and improve processes and methods.

Participate in tech transfer activities from Lindy to partner CDMOs as necessary.

Assist in preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing documentation, including final reports for development activities.

Follow safety regulations and company policies as required.

Update SOPs for optimization and accuracy.
Requirements:
Minimum Required Education and/or Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related sciences field.

Prefer 1-3 years of experience in biopharmaceutical process development but recent college graduates with relevant internships will be considered.

Working knowledge of laboratory techniques and bioprocessing development fundamentals is desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Computer literacy in relevant programs (e.g., Excel and Word) and ability to generate technical reports in written form is essential.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Travel: Occasional business travel may be required.
Physical Demands:

This job primarily operates in both a professional office setting and a research laboratory setting.

Frequent use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners is required.

Must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.
