Associate Scientist

Position Description

Lindy Biosciences is seeking an Associate Scientist to contribute to our R&D programs for cutting edge biologics delivery. This role will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of internal and external samples and will play a crucial role in the development of our technology and the growth of our intellectual property portfolio. We are seeking a candidate who thinks critically, scientifically, and is enthusiastic about working in a start-up.

 

This person will interact with all personnel at Lindy Biosciences. An eagerness and willingness to discuss, collaborate, innovate, and learn will be essential to the success of this role.

 

This position will perform routine testing in support of Manufacturing and R&D projects. The candidate will be responsible for performing release testing in a timely manner. Candidate must be able to adjust work as priorities can shift quickly as client needs change. Good communication and time management skills are critical to meeting company expectations and goals.

 

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:​​
  • Essential functions of this position will be performing UV-Vis, HPLC, GC, and Karl Fischer.

  • Must be open to learning new techniques and performing R&D-type analysis for new formulation of proteins.

  • Must be very team oriented and willing to communicate openly and work with everyone in various capacities.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills required.  Must be able to evaluate the results of experiments and determine what those results mean.

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

  • Excellent documentation skills required. The ability to convey information to others in a clear and understandable manner will be critical.

  • Must be flexible and willing to work in an environment where priorities can change week to week.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) highly recommended.

  • Analyzes information for technical correctness and accuracy.

  • Knowledge of method validation is welcomed.

Minimum Required Education and/or Experience​
  • BS in relevant physical/biologic scientific field (e.g, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, etc).  Industry experience preferred but not required.

  • Understanding of laboratory techniques, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong communication skills.

  • Experience with protein analytical methods and their development (e.g. HPLC-SEC, CIEX-HPLC, UV/Vis).
